Description

MOTIV ReFlex+

The MOTIV ReFlex+ is a versitile controller that can be used in many different capacities to control a variety of aftermarket performance parts.

In it’s simplest form, the ReFlex+ can be used as a standalone port fuel injector controller on engines with up to eight cylinders. Each ReFlex+ is fully configurable to be used on any vehicle through programmable cam, crank, and map sensor inputs in the tuning software. We offer universal maps as well as vehicle specific maps that come pre-configured for your convenience. Through this software you can choose whether you want to run the injectors in batch, semi batch, or sequential fire modes. In addition, the ReFlex+ has additional outputs that can be configured and mapped to output on/off, digital, analog, frequency (25hz), and/or PWM signals for control over performance modifications such as:

  • Methanol Injection Kits
  • Nitrous Kits
  • Boost Control Solenoids
  • Fuel Pumps
  • Relay Triggers
  • N54 Flex Fuel Signal

The ReFlex+ also has multiple inputs that allow for additional data to be incorporated into the control strategies of the ReFlex+, as well as within factory ECU’s through CANbus integration. One of the inputs is assigned to be connected to an ethanol content sensor for monitoring as well as the capability of flex fuel mapping. The other inputs can be used to monitor or process additional information from external sensors or outputs from engine ECU’s.

The ReFlex+ provides the most accurate and precise supplementary sequential fuel injection with the ability to control other advanced features all in one place. It brings a new level of control, function, and versatility to tuning any modern day vehicle at an affordable price.

Additionally, the ReFlex+ was designed to also be utilized as an Advanced I/O Integration module allowing a level of precise control of auxiliary components unseen through factory enginge management. The ReFlex+ can incorporate the external sensor data into the factory ECU’s in parallel through optional CANbus integration. Utilizing the CANbus option, multiple digital and analog signals can be used by the DME/ECU for safety, data logging, or adaptive tuning features. It is unique in its ability to function as a separate standalone, as well as a parallel module in conjunction with the DME/ECU.

There are multiple ways in which the ReFlex+ can integrate with the factory DME/ECU in your vehicle. We have partnered with some of the biggest factory ecu flash companies in the world to expand the possibilities and further revolutionize control and integration of aftermarket performance parts.

Tensility Motorsports has developed a plug and play kit for the ReFlex+ that was engineered to meet our high quality standards. TMS has been approved by MOTIV to manufacturer harnesses and they will not void your warranty on MOTIV ReFlex+ products.

With attention to detail in the selection of wiring, production standards, and quality assurance, TMS plug and play harnesses ensure a consistent and reliable installation for a hassle-free experience.

Each harness kit includes all the necessary components to install and run a ReFlex+ Advanced I/O Controller on the vehicle it was designed for. The harness is divided into a few separate pieces for ease of installation and a very clean finished look.

The ReFlex+ 0-10 Bar Pressure Sensor is ideal for measuring fluid and air pressure. The sensor is terminated with a 2-Pin DTM connector for direct plug and play connection to the ReFlex+ harness. On many of the flash platforms it is integrated over CANbus to supply Fuel Pressure to the ECU and the ReFlex+. In addition, it can also be used for boost, coolant, oil and a variety of other fluids. Each ReFlex+ can integrate two of these sensors at a time.

For easy installation, it is recommended to use the 3/8 Female to 3/8 Male SAE Quick Disconnect Adapter with 1/8″ NPT port on an ethanol sensor. Alternatively, you can use the 5/16 Female to 5/16 Male SAE Quick Disconnect Adapter with 1/8″ NPT port on a factory fuel line.

Quick disconnect adapters (QDA) are commonly used to adapt different components into vehicle fuel systems without requiring permanent modification. These adapters are machined from high-grade aluminum and anodized for corrosion resistance. QDAs incorporate Viton o-rings which are compatible with most types of fuel, solvents and oils. QDAs maintain a reliable leak-proof seal under normal fuel injection system operating pressures.

This particular QDA is sized perfectly to adapt right between the fuel line you were going to connect to your ethanol sensor.

Pairs with S58/B58 PI Kits

These are genuine Continental (VDO) Flex Fuel E85 Sensors used to measure the ethanol-gasoline ratio of the fuel being used in a flexible fuel vehicle. Flexible fuel vehicles can be operated with a blend of ethanol and gasoline, up to 98 percent ethanol, depending on the vehicles fuel lines and injectors.

The flex fuel sensor uses quick-connect style fuel connections, an incoming fuel connection, and an outgoing fuel connection. All fuel passes through the flex fuel sensor before continuing on to the fuel rail. The flex fuel sensor measures the fuel alcohol content, and sends an electrical signal to an ethanol content analyzer in order for the DME or ECU of the vehicle to receive an ethanol percentage.

Both inlet and outlet are 3/8″ SAE sized fittings.
